To celebrate the 190th Anniversary of the Long Island Rail Road you are invited to a slideshow and discussion.. The presentation will discuss the creation of the Long Island Rail Road in 1834 and its very first passenger train from Brooklyn to Greenport and the ensuing celebration held on Saturday, July 27, 1844. This evening will be a fascinating retrospective of historic railroading on Long Island.
