Long Island Whalemen Concert

During the mid-1800s, Eastern Long Islanders who went whaling in Sag Harbor and Greenport ships, created a song culture expressing their fears, their rage, their longings, their hopes, and their most cherished values. This evening’s performance includes banjo and guitar instrumentation plus several songs for the audience to sing along to.
