The Stony Brook Medicine Healthy Libraries Program HeLP is excited to present  "Self-Measured Blood Pressure Monitoring: Why it's Important to Know Your Numbers and Measure Your Blood Pressure at Home." The program will include a 45 minute presentation followed by a demonstration of self-measured blood pressure monitoring and questions and answers. Information and resources are compiled from the American Heart Association including understanding what blood pressure is, why it is important to know your blood pressure, how to measure blood pressure, what ideal levels are, and how to maintain a healthy blood pressure.
