Jerry Simons, PA-C, a member of the Medical Advisory Panel of Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s Regional Tick-Borne Disease Resource Center and Assistant Professor at Stony Brook Medicine, will speak on the types of diseases carried by different tick species found on Eastern Long Island, symptoms, diagnostic tests, and treatment options. Tips on preventing tick bites will be shared.
