Program Description
Event Details
Create zines, comics, artist books, and other paper-based projects in a relaxed library setting. The evening begins with a brief introduction to the history of zines from self-published pamphlets and underground comics to punk, political, and DIY movements, followed by time to make your own work. The library provides drawing supplies, paper, adhesives, scissors, discarded book pages, staplers, trimmers, bookbinding tools, scanners, and free photocopying. A flexible theme will spark ideas and encourage experimentation, making this program welcoming for all skill levels.
