Our Yoga Games program introduces children to yoga through movement-based games and interactive activities. Kids will stretch, breathe, and play while building coordination, confidence, and mindfulness in a friendly, high-energy environment.

We will read Patricia Polacco’s, “Rechenka’s Eggs” and then recreate the beautiful eggs mentioned in the story using colorful cardstock, washable markers, and delicate doilies.

Let’s Go Bananas reading food stories! Make delicious banana pops using chocolate hummus and yummy toppings-shredded coconut, colorful cereal, and sprinkles.

We will read taxi stories and go outside to see a fully operational classic 1981 Yellow Checker Cab!  Learn all about being a taxi driver and get your picture taken behind the wheel!

Build with the library’s Legos and make your inspirational idea come to life!  Bring a friend and make new ones while you create. The Lego collection has been donated by generous patrons and the Friends of the Southold Library.

Learn candle making history and create your own candle using a variety of colors and scents. Try different patterns such as rainbow, ombre, or tie-dye. It’s a perfect gift, or take it home to add ambience to your room!

Reduce, reuse, recycle art at its best! Make and decorate these colorful springtime strings to hang in and around your space, inside or outside. Made of hemp, beads, and recycled materials, no two will be alike.

This program will introduce a storybook showing the differences of cat behavior and the humans that love them.  We will follow up the story with a cute cat craft that is just purrrrrfect!
