Make an Alien on a new Outerspace planet with Crayola Model Magic.

Students will channel their inner adventurer while pretending to be cast away on a faraway island, with only clay to create the tools, food, and shelter needed for exploration and survival.

Let’s have an outdoor bubble party! We will do bubble painting, make bubble wands, and have pool party type snacks. *This program will be held in the Pocket Park under the tent.

It’s Superhero Day! We will read some stories, create masks and shields, and then do a Superhero Freeze Dance flying around!  *This program will be held in the Pocket Park under the tent.

Meet in the parking lot of the Southold Presbyterian Church. We’ll tour the oldest English Burying Ground in New York State noting box tombs, slate, sandstone and marble markers lining the 16 rows of “God’s Acre.”

Mr. James, along with props and his guinea pigs, will tell the classic fairy tale story!  Little ones will get to pet the guinea pigs after the story, make a Guinea pig ear headband craft, and have a Guinea Pig Parade!

Decorate one of our own local shells into your own creative piece. Let’s shell-abrate our local bivalves with environmental art! *This program will be held in the Pocket Park under the tent.

Battle of the Books is an inter-library trivia competition based on 6 young adult novels. Library teams read and practice all summer. The Battle competition is held at the Hyatt Regency in Hauppauge in August.

Suffolk County Library teams will meet at the Hyatt to compete against one another for the best score, best costume, best headgear, best sportsmanship, and more!
